The CEO and course instructor is Robert Weisman PhD, PEng, PMP, CD. Bob has 35 years of experience and has been an Enterprise Architecture (EA) practitioner since 1993 in Canada, Australia, Europe and the US in both government (25 years) and private (10 years) sectors. He was a major contributor to The Open Group Architecture TOGAF® standard versions 9, 9.1 & 9.2 and is heavily involved in the next version of TOGAF®. Bob is president of the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA) Ottawa, President - ISACA Ottawa and a member of the IIBA, PMI, IEEE, PEO, and AFCEA. Bob has a Phd in e-Business (digital transformation and innovation, is also now a part-time professor (new Masters EA Course) and Engineer in Residence at the University of Ottawa.
This is an intense, business oriented five (5) day course for practitioners, managers and directors focusing on a benefit driven approach to conducting Enterprise Architecture in Government and business. It covers numerous EA Frameworks, focusing on TOGAF ® (the core of the courses is a TOGAF ® accredited Practitioner Course) and illustrates numerous deliverables. The course will prepare individuals to conduct /manage EA using global best practices and case studies. The courses also cover the integration of EA with Business Planning, Governance, Portfolio Management (i.e. PMBOK, PRINCE2), Systems Development (i.e. SDLC), Operations Management (e.g. ITIL) and Agile Methods and addresses how typical Government initiatives (e.g. Accountability, Reference Models, Shared Services) fit. The format will be a mixture of teaching, and EA case studies. Capability Based Planning will be explained and used.
